He was born in Motherwell, Scotland to his Italian parents, Tony and Maria. Capaldi grew up in the town of Hamilton and went to Hamilton College before continuing his education at Caledonian Uni in Glasgow. Before he got into acting he played youth football with Motherwell FC. He is related to Scottish entertainers Jimmy Logan and Peter Capaldi.
Since 2005, Capaldi has appeared in at least fifteen films and at least two television productions. He has also produced a number of films under the HIGH FIVE FILMS banner.
His first role was appearing as Sebastian in the comedy film All In (2005). Capaldi has since went on to star in the Sony action movie The Cross in May 2011 starring alongside Brian Austin Green, Michael Clarke Duncan, Vinnie Jones, Danny Trejo and Tom Sizemore, shows him star as a British gangster.
His career saw him act in Wish Wizard recently starring alongside Morgan Freeman
Capaldi expanded into television with his leading role in HDnet's TV show Hollywood Royale (2010), an 'Office' style comedy show.
He since starred in Wicked Within, (to be released late 2013) a horror gothic tale alongside Sienna Guillory, Enzo Cilenti and Eric Roberts.
Capaldi starred in Jeremy London's directorial debut in Devil's Dozen alongside seasoned actors C Thomas Howell and Eric Roberts.
Since December 2012, he starred alongside Dolph Lundgren, Vinnie Jones and Randy Couture in the Voltage Picture' Ambushed and since then has went on to do 3 movies back to back with Dolph and Vinnie. Blood of Redemption (also starring Billy Zane) sees Capaldi star as the FBI agent tracking Zane down with Lundgren's help. And Certain Justice sees him partner Lundgren and take on Cung Le in an epic action film.
In 2013 he acted in the film, The Between with Joel Courtney and Isabelle Furhman. A moralistic drama with a paranormal twist.
Recently he was featured in a Kick Ass type TV series called Vigilante Diaries as the villain opposite Jason Mewes.
He is known to be an avid supporter of Glasgow Celtic Football club and always takes in a game when he goes back to Scotland.
